Valora is the one illigimate daughter of Heribert Osworth owner of the wineyards of Northshire Abey, famous winemaker, died during an assualt of Defias a few years ago. His wife agreed to take his daughter to ehr wich is the offspring of a wellknown woman of the Stormwind society, bounded to a wealth family. As Valora was never welcome in her mothers house the nice and helpfull wife of Heroiber forgave him his youth sin and offered Valora a home. A home with a lot of work and not much comfort but a home nonetheless.

But after some years it became quite clear that Valora had some odd skills, she heared voices whisper to her and things happened around her she couldnt explain. She grew more and more seperate to her 4 sisters and finally her stepmother decided to seek the true motehr of Valora to talk to her about the child. This talk was held secretly and when Milly Osworth came back she took Valora for a long talk, peering at hr with some sadness in her eyes.
And when she got 16 Valora was sent to the most famous Warlock School "Insitute of advanced Sorcery and Arts" in Stormwind to learn and train the way of Warlocks the blood of her mother being to strong in her for leaving her skills untrained. being very wild, demanding and not used to be at a school, (she was just raised in that way of course) Valora had serious problems to get used to the new way of working, learning and the rules in that school.

And very soon it showed that she had great problems with dicipline and concentrating, not seldom also being blunt to teachers and her collegues. So she was quite lonely in the school and her only friend was the bunny Lucifer her mother gave her as a gift when she left home. Of course a bunny was not really considered as appropriate pets for a Warlock student.

Valora was very unhappy at the school, she sat many hours at night in front of the cold window staring out at the sleeping Stormwind, hating her collegues, dont liking the shadow power and very incontent with her whole life. But the worst thing was, that she had big problems with demons! Not that she wouldnt like them, no she didnt like to enslave them.....and so it happened that one night as she was sitting at her window again, she made a decision!
She got up and walked along the long cold and dark aisle leading to the cellar of the school. She silently stepped down the stairs and opened the door to the demons room.
She sighed seeing all the demons in their chains tied to the walls and the small imps in magical cages. Slowly she entered the room and stepped to the first demon tied to the wall.
It was a big blue demon that growled softly at her, knowing her from the demon enslaving lessons.
Valoradidnt hesitate one moment and opened the chained bracers that keept the demon to the wall. She continued with that untill nearly all demons were free. Highly concentrated on her work, she didnt notice that the demons didnt flee from the room....no...they stared at the human in the middle of them...and started to come closer...and closer...

Valora started to notice that she might have don something very stupid and dangerous.....she tried to summon a shield to protect herself....but she failed. So she draw her small dagger, the only thing between her and a horde of angry demons in the same room.
She attacked the first demon that was closest to her. Surprisingly she seemed to impress them by that and she managed to flee out of the room....running directly into the arms of an alarmed and angry teacher!

The next morning, she was told to leave the school immediately, she had injured a Teachers demon and did something very dangerous, by letting the demons nearly flee to Stormwind, where they could have caused much fear and problems!

With a hanging head and much shame Valora left the school and didnt dare to go back to her home, having failed so awfully in the school. Not only failed..no..she brought shame to her whole family. She decided to venture the world alone and not to rely on studies of magical power anymore....but to find out all herself.

She still has two witnesses to that ashaming incident..one is her true bunny Lucfer..the other is a jagged scar on herchin, caused by the burning whip of a freed Succubus.

So now everything comes back.
First of all, the schools proper name is of course not "Warlock School", its is called "Academy of Advanced Sorcery and Magic Art". And the Ravenhearts are really one of the oldest sorcerer families in Stormwind. All of them went to this school. And yes, I have heared of that incident, although I think that everything was a little exaggerated in the end. Nobody got seriously harmed, and of course, the little friends in the cellar never represented a real threat to the stormwind citizens. Everything was under control.
Also I must say, that Lareas carreer is nothing to be ashamed for. If the way that was chosen for you is not what you desire, you will never find a home this profession. So it is always the better choice to make a change, than to stick to something that was predetermined by somebody else. Lareas heart is not the heart of a sorcerer, I think. Although the Ravenhearts disagree there.
I hope that her way of the sword is the right choice. And if not, she will change again. I will introduce her to two friends of mine, if she is ready to do that: Ormgarth and Piznip. But there is no hurry to do so.

May the shadows protect our new member,

Zelthar Riverhand

I might add one thing: Some teachers, that I know personally, have not given up completely on Larea. There is still the Ravenheart blood flowing through her veins...
